Kingston Community Energy Council
Representing Kingston's historically marginalized communities.
The Kingston Community Energy Council is a dedicated group of community members who help guide Mid-Hudson Energy Transition’s energy programs, offering valuable insight and advice on program implementation. Representing Kingston’s historically marginalized communities, the Council ensures that our initiatives in housing, environment, health, and economic opportunity are thoughtfully designed to meet real community needs.
With a focus on inclusivity and collaboration, the Community Council works to make sure that every program we offer is both impactful and genuinely wanted by the people of Kingston.
Why Join the Community Council?
We appreciate your time and commitment. Each meeting includes a $100 stipend, dinner, and childcare services to support your participation.
The council meets once a month to discuss current projects, provide feedback, and ensure that our programs align with the needs of our community.
Make a difference in shaping impactful programs like HUG, HELP, and Kingston Community Energy (KCE) to better serve low-income and historically marginalized communities.
You don’t need a background in energy—just a commitment to social and energy justice as a community member.
